Designing a mobile app for after-school program enrollment
A mobile app designed to simplify how parents enroll their children in after-school programs and stay connected through a clear and intuitive experience.
Challenges
Parents needed a simple and reliable way to manage their children’s after-school activities, but the experience was fragmented and time-consuming. Enrolling in programs, tracking schedules and staying updated required too many steps and constant manual effort.
From a design perspective, the challenge was to simplify complex flows and rethink the structure of the product. It was important to understand real user needs, reduce cognitive load and create a clear and intuitive experience that supports booking, payments and communication in one place.
Solutions
I approached the project by focusing on user behavior and breaking down key tasks into simple and logical steps. Based on research insights, I restructured the core flows and prioritized the most frequent actions to reduce friction and improve usability.
I designed a clean and consistent UI system with clear hierarchy and navigation, ensuring that all features like enrollment, payments and notifications work together as one seamless experience. Through iteration and testing, the product evolved into an intuitive and user-centered solution that fits naturally into parents’ daily routines.
